Labelling your children ‘naughty’, ‘bad boy/girl’, ‘the challenging one’, ‘over sensitive’, ‘cry baby’, etc… can backfire as it can encourage them to take on this identity.  Allow children to develop their own identity, rather than ‘boxing’ them in to one, particularly in the early years.
